Every TapouT Mouthguard package comes with two (2) multi-sport mouthguards – the color of your choice combined with white and black – all with the legendary TapouT logo The TapouT Mouthguard properly positions your TMJ during stress related activities, so the combination of natural fluids and our Concussion Defense System gives you Anti-Concussion protection. Giving every coach, parent and athlete an extra sense of security and piec e of mind that they are using excellent protection. You can use any gloves or head gear, but you have to use mouthguard molded just for your teeth, so if you are in full contact sports buy a good one and use it properly. TapouT Mouthguard Fitting Instruction Fitting using the Easy-Clip strap: 1.Guide easy-clip strap into the hole on the front of the mouthguard. Make sure to see the whole "lock button" is in place by viewing from the bottom side of the mouthguard. Dangle from the top of the strap to test the lock. 2.Bring 8-10 cm (3"-4") water to a rolling boil in a sauce pan, and have a cup of cold water standing by. 3.Set a timer for 29 seconds. 4.Hold by the top of the strap furthest away from the mouthguard. Carefully lower mouthguard into the boiling water and continue to hold for 29 seconds. DO NOT EXCEED 29 SECONDS. 5.Remove from boiling water. 6.Quickly dunk mouthguard into the cup of cold water for 1-2 seconds just to bring surface temperature to a tolerable level. 7.Immediately place mouthguard into mouth. 8.Make sure all teeth are within mouthguard walls. Bring lower jaw slightly forward and up into lower tray. Bite down, sinking top and bottom teeth into mouthguard. Suck, and use finders to shape mouthguard around teeth. 9.To ensure your TapouT smile logo looks great, avoid rubbing or scratching the TapouT logo during the fitting process. Also avoid tugging on the strap, as the heat will have temporarily weakened the lock. 10.After fitting the mouthguard, place it back in the cup of cold water for additional 11 seconds to set the fit. 11.If the fit is not quite right, repeat these steps to achieve desired fit. Note: It is recommended you use the Easy-Clip strap for the fitting proccess, however you may use a slotted spoon to lower and raise the mouthguard in and out of the boiling water. Do not use tongs, pliers or any other tool that may pinch or misshape the mouthguard. |
