Like many of Canada’s current UFC fighters, the stunning beauty began her journey in the fight game as a ring card girl in some of her country’s biggest MMA shows. But after sending in her pictures and resume to the UFC and getting called back the same week to begin work at UFC 78 in November, Edith got a crash course in life in the Octagon. “It’s a lot different,” she said of her first UFC event. “The UFC is a lot bigger - it’s international, it’s on TV, and that’s a great thing, but I was a little nervous.” But by the time the first bout was over, the butterflies were gone and Edith was welcomed into the organization by a packed house of appreciative fans. Now the pride of Montreal is looking forward to a bright future watching her favorite sport from the best seat in the house.
“I’ve been a fan of the UFC for years,” she said. “It’s action-packed and I love the excitement. These guys train so hard to do this and they’re so talented. I enjoy watching it a lot.”
